National Kitchen & Bathroom Association Conference & Awards Dinner 2007, 2008, 2009
The team at Six Hats is Second to none!
I would recommend them to any company or organisation to ensure the smooth running of a fabulous conference.
Amanda and Paula show expertise, professionalism and commitment to each and every day of your event. Their conference planning from the very onset is fantastic. They leave no stone unturned and always go that 'extra mile' to ensure every delegate and sponsor is happy! Amanda and Paula work with great discretion and I am constantly impressed with the way they communicate with our sponsors and delegates.
With their skill and knowledge in their profession they also have fantastic contacts, and often come up with ideas that simply would not be found else where. Our annual National Awards Dinner is a large event and the Six Hats team worked with us to produce a very high calibre, Glitzy evening that everyone involved with could be proud of. From choosing the right MC for the night, band, themeing, menu, power point presentation and entertainment - 300 people enjoyed many memorable functions with the help of the SIX HATS team.
Thanks Six Hats!

I can unreservedly recommend Six Hats to anyone organising a professional conference. Their wealth of experience, and professionalism made organising our conference so much easier and was a major factor in making it such a success. Exhibitors, Caterers, Acommodation staff as well as delegates have all commented very positively on their interaction with Six Hats.
As a first time conference organiser I felt well supported by Amanda and the rest of the Six hats team and was grateful for their words of wisdom and encouragement.
Our conference organising committee was particularly impressed by Six Hats IT support especially when it came to reveiwing abstracts and organising the scientific program.

"Working with Amanda and Paula was by far the best conference organisation team that I have ever worked with.
They are so professional in what they do and they do it with a passion like no other. They are a pleasure to work with, being extremely organised, and very patient and caring in helping us make a great conference here in Nelson.
We had a few challenges, but Amanda like no other, had them under control and sorted. Our conference Venue, The Rutherford Hotel, Conference Manager made a most true comment that how well organised the team was and it was a pleasure to have them working in their hotel , and I certainly agree with them on that.
Both Amanda and Paula demonstrated superb knowledge and efficiency in all aspects of conference management. Everything was superb from all the set up work, the flyers and information sent out, all the last minute details, the conference itself and all the post conference details.
I cannot recommend these ladies high enough in their abilities of conference organisation.
Amanda, Paula and Heather - I would like to take this oppournity to publicity thank you for what you did for our conference and making it a great success it was and I was a great pleasure working with you all."

"You (Amanda) are so calm, clear and positive about the events you organise, and you understand what the speaker needs to get their job done in the best way possible. It's the small things that matter so much - the water, the green room, the trust and the sense that we are all working together."

National Kitchen & Bathroom Association and Master Joiners Conference and Awards Dinner
5th to 7th July, 2007, The Dunedin Centre, Dunedin
Amanda and her dedicated team of staff were contracted to organise our annual three day conference for our 200 members in Dunedin this year (2007).
Our conference requirements included meals, accommodation, airport transfers, field trips, formal dinners, sponsor and exhibitor requirements, and getting our members from around the country into and out of Dunedin. We were totally impressed with the quality of staff, planning and preparation that Amanda completed prior to the event. It was this planning that contributed hugely to the success and smooth running of our conference.
Equally impressive was their response to the need to change the dinner venue and catering company (due to extreme weather conditions) for dinner for 200 people, with only eight hours prior notice. This occurred seemlessly and displayed the careful planning of alternatives Amanda had put into place in advance. Clearly they can juggle six hats!
A big thanks to everyone at Six Hats for a great event in Dunedin.
I would highly recommend Six Hats to handle any conference needs you may have. We will be back!
Kevin Belz, Vice President, National Kitchen & Bathroom Association
Just a quick note to thank you and your staff for a fantastically well organised conference and function last week. I appreciate all your assistance and the trouble you went through to accommodate me in every aspect - I know you said you didn't do many "kitchen shows" but on the strength of what I saw - you should do a lot more.

As a 'first-time' conference convenor, I was most fortunate to have Amanda Graham and the 6 Hats team arrange the recent Tauranga Ophthalmic Conference. Amanda successfully negotiated her way through the challenges of a venue still being built (we were the hotel's first full conference), with barely sufficient facilities to accommodate the needs of our Ophthalmologists, Nurses, Orthoptists and Trade Display. Amanda guided us through the whole process with great humour, a minimal amount of fuss and a constant "can do" attitude. She took everything in her stride, never lost her cool, and took care of all the details. Thanks to her and the 6 Hats team we had a really fantastic conference, with lots of compliments about the relaxed friendly way they ran things. It was an absolute pleasure working with Amanda. I couldn't recommend Amanda and the team more highly, and would be happy to talk to any of their prospective future clients!

"We thought we would try doing our own conference, we had done them before. We had also been on many conference organsiing committees and knew that with a certain critical mass of delegates, and with the contemporary expectations of attendees, we were sailing close to the wind. Thank goodness for 6 Hats, they came and rescued us with a special tailor made deal. What a relief - we could leave it all to them! They pre-empted all our needs and came up with all the very best and economical types of solutions. Totally reliable, conscientious and with great verve and integrity we were navigated through professionally. Our conference was a roaring educational and social success, thanks to Amanda, Paula and team."

It is with immense pleasure, and without reservation, that I would strongly recommend Amanda and her team to any group organising a function or conference. They were friendly and efficient, had an eye for detail, with a "can do" attitude. Nothing was too much trouble. With their knowledge of medical meetings, the timeline was spot on, culminating in an extremely successful annual scientific meeting both educationally and socially. Keri Wright, Convention Services Co-ordinator, SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre
"As I stated publicly in Auckland, this was by far one of the most enjoyable cardiac conferences I have been involved with. The overall organisation of the conference, the venue, the support team, and the facilities were unequivocally, second to none."
Amanda, although I have already sent a letter of appreciation to the Organising Committee of the recent CSANZ conference, I wanted to personally thank you too. It was a wonderful conference. I feel sure that so much of the smooth running, the support systems, and all those special touches that made this conference so special, and so memorable, were related to the work and talent of you and your professional team. Well done Amanda and team, and thank you so much for an exceptional conference."

"Amanda and Paula have demonstrated superb knowledge and efficiency in all aspects of conference management. Everything seemed to be seamless - from the set-up work and initial flyers, to the last minute details, the conference itself, and then the after conference details.
During the conference I found myself referring people with problems "to the two women at the table in the registration area with big smiles" - and everything was sorted. This is heaven for conference hosts, and took all concerns about the last minute details off the worry radar screen altogether."
Thank you for your efforts and I do hope that we can do another conference together sometime soon."

Paediatric Society of New Zealand

"The 2004 Annual Scientific Meeting was an unreserved success. Those who attended it made comments like "this is the best, if not the best, conference I have ever attended".
As a member of the Organising Committee, I want to pay tribute to the huge amount of work put in by Six Hats Limited and particularly by Amanda. She gave unflagging support to us, provided wisdom in directing us with decision making, directed us in terms of the organisation of the meeting, whilst allowing us to be freed to organise academic and other portions of the programme. The social programme was a real success and this was facilitated by Amanda and her team - including Paula and Sharon.
I would unreservedly recommend Amanda Graham and her team at Six Hats Limited for assistance in organising a medical conference and hope that at some stage in the future I may be able to work with Amanda again."
Dr Stephen Bradley, Paediatrician

"Gee, so many people enjoyed the conference and have nice things to say - it is awesome and humbling ...
Amanda and team... Over the years (they are accumulating), I have built a few "cathedrals".
But never have I build one of such effective magnitude, and as part of such an efficient team as this one.
Your "I do what I say" attitude is a great asset, and your happy outgoing demenour whilst you do it, infectious.
You clearly have very high standards and these are inspiring.
Please send anyone who is thinking about hiring Six Hats, and needs to know this, to me."
Dr Fred Nagel
Paediatrician, Convenor, Paediatric Society of New Zealand ASM 2004, Rotorua
New Zealand Venereological Society
"Six Hats", under the direction of Amanda Graham, assisted in organising the New Zealand Venereological Society National Conference in Hamilton in August 004. As one of the organisers for the NZVS I would highly recommend Amanda and her team.
Amanda met with our committee early on and drove the project with enthusiasm and professionalism. She outlined a budget that was achievable and assisted the Society to meet the budget by helping to find significant sponsorship from the public and private sector, keeping to targets for spending, and communicating clearly with the organising committee regarding spending decisions.
The feedback from the conference participants was excellent in regards to registration arrangements, venue, catering, audio-visual support and over-all value for money.
This was an international conference and Amanda assisted in the logistics regarding travel, accommodation, and confirmation of speakers from New Zealand and overseas.
Amanda's attention to find detail and added touches helped to make the two day conference a success.
As one of the principle conference organisers, who also assisted in organising a national conference for the Society, without professional conference organising assistance the previous year, I can attest to the benefit of employing Amanda and her team. Six Hats is professional, accountable, enthusiastic and affordable.
Six Hats is highly recommended to any organisation wishing to plan a successful conference."
Kitty Flannery, Manager, Sexual Health Service Waikato Hospital
The New Zealand Venereological Society Conference 2004, Hamilton
The Royal Australasian College of Physicians Joint ASM 2004
"On behalf of the organising committee I would formally like to thank you for the hard work and superb job you did in organising the conference. The feedback that I have had has been uniformly highly complimentary.
On a personal level I thoroughly enjoyed working with you. I will be heartily recommending your company to future organisers of conferences."
Dr Michael Epton, Senior Lecturer, Christchurch School of Medicine
Convenor, 2004 RACP Joint Annual Scientific Meeting, Christchurch
"I think Six Hats organisation is fantastic. Nothing was overlooked both in organisation and the small touches, ie provision of taxis for dinner transfer etc.
Additionally throughout the months leading up to the conference Amanda and Paula were extremely tolerant and professional at all times, even when they were following up on reminders etc."
Di Ching, Schering-Plough
Exhibitor, The Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, Waikato Region ASM 2004
The Cardiac Society of Australia & New Zealand
"Amanda was the conference organiser for the New Zealand Regional Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Cardiac Society 2004. This was held at Wairakei Resort in Taupo. The meeting was extremely successful with considerable, positive feedback from participants and industry alike. The success reflects the professionalism and attention to detail that Amanda's team provide.
Amanda was a pleasure to work with. She was always available and would respond promptly to any concerns. She regularly anticipated problems long before I would have even considered them, and thus the co-ordination of of the various aspects of the meeting proceeded in a very seamless fashion. Amanda has extensive experience with the running of similar meetings. I have worked with her previously and at all times have found this a valuable experience and one which has gone a long way to make my life bearable when in the midst of convening such complex meetings.
I firmly believe that as a clinician my skills and time are best spent dealing with my own areas of expertise, and therefore a similar philosophy should apply to professional meetings which also require a high level of expertise.
I would recommend Amanda's team to anyone. I have absolutely no doubt that they would get excellent value for money. I wish her well in the future."
Dr Chris Nunn
Cardiologist, Convenor
The Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, Waikato Region ASM 2004, Wairakei Resort

"
It is with pleasure that I record my thanks and appreciation on behalf of the planning committee to Amanda Graham, Professional Conference Organiser of Six Hats Ltd, Hamilton for her professional skills in the organisation of this conference.
From the beginning Amanda worked with us, ensuring that all aspects of planning such as the scientific programme, budgeting, sponsorship, publications, publicity, venue and social functions were managed smoothly and efficiently.
Amanda's experience in dealing with medical colleagues and New Zealand companies was invaluable in helping with the programme as well as gaining sponsorship, where her success was particularly notable.
Management of the budget, including up to date information for monthly planning meetings was invaluable. The registration of delegates and accommodation arrangements were faultless.
The scientific programme involved speakers from Canada and Australia as well as New Zealand. All arrangements for papers, audiovisual requirements, travel, gifts and accommodation were excellent.
The social programme, which included the Opening and Awards Ceremony, conference dinner, and special breakfasts with guest speakers and AGM were all a great success. Amanda worked tirelessly with hotel staff, sponsors and musicians to ensure high quality ambiance, food and entertainment enjoyed by all.
It is vital that the professional conference organiser and the planning committee work closely to ensure that the conference is a success for delegates. We acknowledge with respect and gratitude the work Amanda did. Her dealings with organising staff and delegates were characterised by unfailing good humour and willingness to help. Amanda's integrity, attention to detail, confidence and sophistication contributed to a very successful outcome."
Janet Wallace, Dietitian
Convenor, New Zealand Dietetic Association Annual Conference 2003, Rotorua

"On behalf of the NZAMT committee, I wish to thank you very much for your contribution to the successful running of our conference in July. We very much appreciated your professional approach to the conference and in particular the competent manner in which you handled our financial affairs. Your help and knowledge in this area alleviated us of much stress and to have the conference finances wound up by the end of September was superb.
It was a pleasure to work alongside you and to always feel that you were happy to support and advise us when we faltered. Your guidance at committee meetings gave us much needed support at critical times in the preparation for the conference. Your expertise and professional approach to conference organising was invaluable to the committee.
The trade displays were in excellent hands with you overseeing the organising of them and making sure that the "feeding and watering" of the exhibitors was always done in a friendly and positive manner. Your help with organising and communicating between the committee and the trade displays was very much appreciated and we believe we were very fortunate to have your skills in this area.
We all believe our conference was very successful and the contribution from Six Hats has certainly been an integral part of that success. The Events software enabled us to get a clear picture of the progress in the registrations as well as the financial situation and we were pleased to have these reports readily available.
We wish you all the very best for your business and would have no hesitation in employing Six Hats again should we find ourselves in the position of organising another conference. Your positive approach to all our queries and your help throughout the conference has been truly appreciated by all members of the committee."
Kathy Paterson
Chairperson, New Zealand Association of Maths Teachers Conference 2003, Hamilton

"There is no doubt that I felt well managed and supported during this meeting. This has been the opinion of pervious convenors in our Faculty that have worked with Amanda. It is of interest that several of the delegates also attended the International Emergency Medicine Symposium held in North America, some months previously to the Winter Symposium, and reported that the Symposium was of a much higher standard and the organisation was far superior."
Dr Scott Pearson, Emergency Medicine Specialist, Canterbury Health
Convenor, 2000 Emergency Medicine Winter Symposium, Christchurch
"Judging by the feedback, the meeting was a success in every way - having attended a number of meetings I know how relatively minor organisational omissions or errata can affect one's perception. The feedback indicated there was no such problem at our meeting."
"I cannot emphasise enough that although we got a lot of the kudos for the successful meeting, I am fully aware that we would have struggled without the expert knowledge, skills and commitment of Amanda Graham whose efforts were beyond all expectations."
Dr Hitesh Patel, Cardiologist, Tauranga Hospital
Convenor, 2000 Annual Scientific Meeting (NZ region) Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, Rotorua
"I know that it takes a great deal of courage to offer yourself to be benchmarked to attain accreditation in that way that you did, and there must be many reasons why one could put of voluntarily undertaking such an examination. The fact that you achieved accreditation on the first attempt speaks volumes for your professionalism, and I am proud to acknowledge your fine achievement."
Alan Trotter, Chief Executive, Conventions & Incentives New Zealand
MIAA Accreditation 1999
"Amanda organised and ran this meeting superbly."
"One of the best College Dinners that has ever been put on."
"I certainly would have no hesitation in Amanda running a conference for me and I think her abilities are such that this would not rest necessarily that it was medical nor would I put a size constraint.
"I cannot recommend this lady highly enough in her abilities of Conference organisation."
Mr P.J. Beehan, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Convenor, 1999 Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Annual Scientific Meeting, Hamilton

"If you are organising a conference, before you do anything else, ring Amanda"
Dr Graham Sharpe, Anaesthetist, Wellington Hospital

"Initially I worried that her being domiciled in Hamilton would make organising the conference very difficult indeed. This proved not to be so. Amanda was not only efficient, but a joy to work with."
"Her attention to detail was perfect and she nursed me through an undoubtedly traumatic period of my career with, humour, tolerance, and good grace."
"The meeting was undoubtedly one of the most successful the Cardiac Society has ever held and a considerable profit was made which was entirely down to Amanda's planning."
Dr David Smyth, Cardiologist, Canterbury Health
Convenor, 1998 Annual Scientific Meeting (NZ region) Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, Christchurch
"The entertainment was the best I have ever seen at any conference"
"All in all, Amanda was able to take us through the onerous task of organising a conference without us feeling as if we had actually done anything"
"I think the secret to the success was Amanda's hard work behind the scenes, her great organisational capacity, her ability to motivate and her experience and contacts."
Mr David Schroeder, Laparoscopic Surgeon, Waikato Hospital
Convenor 1998 Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Annual Scientific Meeting, Hamilton
"Your planning, advice and general support to a group of professionals with no great experiences in conferences was critical to the success of Youth Health '98."
"The conference itself was an absolute success with very positive feedback from all those who participated."
Dr Peter Watson, Adolescent Health Specialist
Convenor, Youth Health '98, Auckland
"I found her always friendly, supportive, and very easy to work with. She was always highly organised, plans were made and jobs achieved on schedule. She had complete mastery of a complex software-based system to track organisation of the meeting, registrations and finances."
"There is no higher recommendation of a Conference Organiser under these circumstances than the unanimous appreciation of Conference Delegates at the meeting. This was certainly the case, further reinforced by an immediate request that Amanda act as Conference Organiser for the Cardiac Society's meeting next near."
"She clearly has superior talents."
Dr Hugh McAlister, Cardiologist, Waikato Hospital
Convenor, 1997 Annual Scientific Meeting (NZ region) Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, Rotorua

Dr Cameron Buchanan, Paediatric and Specialist Anaesthetist, Waikato Hospital
Convenor, Inaugural Paediatric Anaesthetic Refresher Course 1997
"To be honest, I don't think I have been to a conference that ran as well as this one - something for which you can take the lions share of the credit. As a conference organiser, you rank with the best!"
Dr Ian Rogers, Emergency Medicine Specialist, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital
Convenor, ASEM/ACEM ASM 1997
"At all times I have been able to ignore a myriad of tasks, and frankly there were times that for all on the organising committee we didn't realise what needed to be done until after you'd told us you had done it!"
"Certainly, direct feedback to myself from conference attendees described you in quite reverential and awed terms."
"Amanda, you are a thorough professional, a joy to work with, you kept us grounded, focussed, and on task, and ensured the success of the conference. We could not have done it without you, nor would I want to have tried. I would have every confidence in working with you in future meetings."
