WELCOME
On behalf of the organising committee, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to attend The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists New Zealand Branch Annual Meeting to be held at the Rutherford Hotel Nelson from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 May 2009
The meeting will follow a similar format to previous conferences with registration and the welcome function on Thursday evening. The academic programme will commence on Friday morning and run through to Sunday lunchtime.
Our keynote speakers are Jane Dickinson from the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK and John Sparrow from Bristol Eye Hospital, UK.
The conference dinner will be a highlight. The dinner is being held at the World of Wearable Art and Classic Car Museum. WOW models will be circulating during pre-dinner drinks. The dinner is being held in the Car Gallery, you will have the opportunity to view the Garment Gallery, and we will dance the night away to the fabulous sound of the Beat Girls.

WELCOME TO THE NZ OPHTHALMOLOGY NURSING CONFERENCE 2009
On Behalf of the Ophthalmology Nurses committee, we offer a warm welcome to you all, especially to you overseas visitors.
Our Keynote speaker for the Nurses will be Jillian Grasso from Sydney Eye Hospital and we are looking forward to hearing her speak on several topics of interest to us all. Jillian has kindly been sponsored by Bausch and Lomb, and once again Critical Assist are sponsoring the Nurses cocktail evening on the Friday night.
Our theme this year will be Orbital and Plastics, and we have some interesting speakers already lined up for you all.
Our Saturday night function is a must, so do not miss this one. An exciting evening at the World of Wearable Art Complex (WOW), with WOW models circulating during the evening, and then you can dance the night away to the fabulous sound of the amazing Beat Girls..
We hope that you will take the time to relax and enjoy our city, visit our local markets, meet up with old and new friends.
