The Rutherford Hotel Nelson is located in the centre of Nelson, and is handy to the city's many and varied attractions.  It is approximately a 15 minute drive from the airport and a 2 minute walk to the centre to town.

Located in the centre of Nelson, Rutherford Hotel is a Qualmark 4 star hotel, wich captures a unique blend of the local charm and cosmopoloitan sophistication.  Accommodation features include Sky TV, broadband internet, dial up internet, tea and coffee making facilities.  There are three diverse restaurants and bar.

Superking or two singles room $129.00 per room per night including GST
Located within a few minutes walk of Nelson's central shopping precinct, theatres, cultural and spoting attractions, restaurants and cafes, the informatation centre, and close to the scenic waterfront.  All accommodation rooms have internet ports, cable broadband and dial up facilities, SKY TV, air conditioning, refrigeratior, tea and coffee making facilities.
 
Accommodation has been reserved for delegates at the Rutherford Hotel and Trailways Hotel Nelson at conference rates.  All bookings must be made through Six Hats using the registration form.  The hotel will not accept direct bookings.  Notification of any alterations or cancellations for accommodation at the hotel must be sent by email, fax or post to Six Hats, and NOT to the hotel directly.
 
Cancellations giving less than seven days' notice may incur a penalty.  This is at the discretion of the hotel. Rates quoted are per room per night, inclusive of GST and do not include breakfast.

Payment for Accommodation: Accommodation bookings must be guaranteed with credit card and a credit card number must accompany your booking request. This will be forwarded to the hotels. Guests are responsible for all room, tax and incidental charges. Cancellations or amendments giving less than 30 days notice may incur a penalty, this is at the discretion of the hotel.  Your credit card details will be forwarded to the hotel.

Deadline for Accommodation Bookings: Rooms will be allocated on a first-in basis until 27 March for as long as rooms are available. After 27 March all unallocated rooms will be released with no guarantee can be made that rooms will be available.

Sharing Accommodation: The room must be booked in the name of one person only, please indicate on the registration form the name of the person with whom you will be sharing. Six Hats are unable to facilitate room sharing.

Early Check-in: Standard check-in is 1400 hrs onwards. If the room is required prior to this time please advise Six Hats, as the hotel may charge an additional fee.

Late Check-in: Please indicate if you will be arriving at the hotel later than 1800 hrs. This will ensure your room is not released.

Late Check-out: Standard check-out time is before 1000 hrs. Late check-out may be subject to an additional fee.

No Shows: In the event of a no-show to a booked room, one night's accommodation fee will be forfeited. It is at the hotel's discretion whether the full amount is forfeited.

Cancellations: Cancellations or amendments giving less than 30 days notice may incur a penalty. This is at the discretion of the hotel.

Please Note: Special conference accommodation rates have been negotiated for the conference. The conference organisers accept no responsibility if the hotel offers cheaper rates compared to the rates advertised. Hotels may offer "special rates" at their discretion

AIR TRAVEL AND TRANSFERS

Please place your reservations directly with the airline of your choice.  Be sure to book early to obtain the best rates.
 
A journey of 8 km from Nelson Airport to the Rutherford Hotel by taxi will cost approximately $30 one way, and will take around 15 minutes.

Shuttle transport is via Nelson Shuttles.  This is a door to door service (Airport to Rutherford Hotel) and will take approximately 30 minutes.  It is recommended that you pre-book this service.  One adult, one way will cost approximately $25.
